Join us at Glasgow Square Theatre as Stories of Scotland comes to Nova Scotia, wrapping Scottish history and comedy into one hilarious and informative package with Bruce Fummey.
Bruce Fummey has spent fifteen years performing stand-up and creating Scottish history-themed shows for festivals around the world. A former teacher, he has spent the last few years asking YouTube audiences to "Let me tell you a story” in a series of hugely popular videos, amassing an incredible 200k subscribers for his YouTube channel, Scotland History Tours.
Film and TV roles have followed in the wake of this success and in 2023 he’ll be coming to New Glasgow to tell stories and jokes in person with a brand-new live show, Stories of Scotland. Nominated for many comedy awards and named Scottish Comedian Of The Year in 2014, Bruce will bring his chirpy, occasionally near-the-bone but self-deprecating style of comedy to spice up some of the stories from Scotland’s past.

Join us on May 17th, 2024 for an evening with Sandman: Tribute Officially Licensed by Metallica at Glasgow Square Theatre!
SANDMAN, the only Metallica sanctioned tribute band, has been blowing audiences away since 1994. Band members Rick Van Dyk (lead vocals and lead/rhythm guitar), Joe Di Taranto (lead/rhythm guitar and vocals), Paulo Fonseca (bass and vocals), Brent Niemi (drums), collectively have a lifetime of musical experience playing and recording with recognized bands such as Helix, Honeymoon Suite, Headstones, Anvil, Warmachine, Russ Dwarf of Killer Dwarfs, Darren Smith of Harem Scarem/Red Dragon Cartel, as well as Classic Albums Live. After a curious series of events in early 2016, the members of Metallica gave SANDMAN their blessing to pay tribute to their music, resulting in a momentous meeting at Toronto’s famed Opera House in November 2016. Sandman plays regularly at venues throughout Southern Ontario such as Maxwell’s in Waterloo, Sarnia’s Station Music Hall, the Oshawa Music Hall, and Toronto’s Opera House.
